Dr. Scott Duston
Dr. Duston is a native Phoenician. He attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate studies. He went on to Washington State University to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Dr. Duston practiced in the Phoenix Valley for five years in general and emergency hospitals. He completed his internship in Sacramento in 2007 in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Duston lived in California for six years and worked in the beach cities of Costa Mesa and Laguna Beach. In the summer of 2012, Dr. Duston returned home to Phoenix and became owner of Agua Fria Animal Hospital. Dr. Duston and his wife, Mandy, became parents only three days after taking over the practice. 2012 was a most exciting and rewarding year for the Dustons, and they look forward to building lasting relationships with clients for many years to come. Dr. Duston has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and ultrasound.
Dr. Jeovanny Toribio
Dr. Toribio is a native of Buckeye, and has spent his entire life around animals. He grew up on a local dairy farm, and knew as a child that he wanted to take care of animals, both large and small. Dr. Toribio graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School. He is available to see your small critters, but will also do farm calls to see cows, horses, sheep and goats.
Dr. Amy Afek
Dr. Amy Afek is a native Arizonan. She has been an animal lover her entire life, and dreamt of becoming a Veterinarian since age 12. Dr. Afek graduated from Colorado State University in 2003 and has been employed in the Phoenix area since, joining the Agua Fria team in February of 2015. She currently lives in Buckeye with her family (both human and animal). Dr. Afek has a special interest in animal behavior and internal medicine, and promotes low stress, fear free veterinary care.
